We are excited to present our 2020 summer enrichment experiences (SEE), formerly known as summer camps for your child. These camps will be available on the schedule listed below and will operate Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm at Jones Intermediate School. Our SEE have been designed by educators and former students to engage our kids in a variety of innovative learning experiences! These camps are FREE for all students and will be offered on a first register, first-serve basis. When each SEE reaches full capacity the title will be marked FULL and no registrations will be allowed.
MACS is committed to following all safety guidance, which will also limit our groups to 8 students with 1-2 adults for consistent safety measures all day, every day. Students will be required to wear masks daily in our SEE. Temperature checks will be conducted for all students and staff members each morning prior to entrance on the bus or at the car rider drop-off at Jones Intermediate School. Social distancing will be followed at all times and facilities will be cleaned throughout the day to ensure the safety of all.
Our district’s summer feeding program will provide a free breakfast and lunch daily for every student. Meals will be provided to each classroom, as we will not be eating in mass gatherings in our school cafeteria. School bus transportation will be available for morning pick-up and afternoon drop-off if needed.
If you are interested in your child attending a SEE please click on the title to complete the online application by Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 12:00 pm. For questions, please reach out to Penny Willard at 336-786-8355 or email [email protected] You will receive your child’s SEE confirmation by Friday, July 3, 2020. Our district is highly thankful for the 21st Century Learning Community Center grant that allows us to serve our students throughout the school year and the summer.
