Final Reminder A few of you have not yet ordered your cap & gown. Please use this link to order BEFORE Thanksgiving so that it will be here in time for our senior events in the Spring. If you need assistance with purchasing your cap & gown, or if you are unsure if you have ordered one, please let us know!
Secret Santa: Senior Edition This is an optional, fun event for seniors to connect before the winter break. If you choose to participate, you will receive the name of a senior next week, along with some ideas to help you purchase a $10-$15 gift for them. Gifts will be turned in to Mrs. Henson or Mrs. Zurita by Tuesday, December 10th, and we will have a gift exchange/Secret Santa reveal on Friday, December 13th. Click here to sign up by Tuesday, November 26th!-The deadline to register for SCC courses for next semester is 12/6 for new CCP students and 12/17 for current CCP students. Please stop by to see Mrs. Shumate in the Blue Bear Café on Tuesdays if you have not already registered.
-SAVE THE DATE! The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2025-2026 school year will open on December 1st. We plan to host a FAFSA Workshop on Tuesday, December 10th to assist students and families in completing this form. More details to come!

TRANSCRIPTS
- MAHS Transcripts: There are 3 ways students can have high school transcripts sent to colleges and universities:
- Common App - If you applied through Common App, add Mrs. Henson (A-K) or Mrs. Zurita (L-Z) as your counselor, and your school report/transcript gets sent automatically. (If you can see that your school report has been sent, then your transcript has been sent also.)
- CFNC - for any NC college or university that you applied to outside of Common App, use the link in the CFNC Application Hub to have your transcript sent. This is not automatic, you must use the REQUEST TRANSCRIPT button for each school.
- MAHS Website (out-of-state / not automatic) - For out-of-state schools not on the Common App, use THIS LINK to have your transcript sent.
- Surry Community College Transcripts: If colleges are asking for your Surry Community College transcript, you have two options:
- If they need an official transcript, you will need to
- log into your MyKnightLife portal
- Scroll all the way to the bottom right
- Select “Request an Official Transcript”
- In the top box, use the link that says “Order Your Transcript Online”
- Follow the instructions to send your transcript (there will be a charge)
- If they will accept an unofficial transcript, you can find that in the same place

- In the bottom box, use the link that says “Request an Unofficial Transcript”
- Follow the instructions to see/download your transcript and then just take a screenshot (you can take a screenshot on your iPad automatically by using the camera button on the top center of your keypad)
- You can either upload it into your university portal if that option is available or email it to your assigned university admissions counselor.
