Welcome to Mount Airy High School

     Mount Airy High School is consistently in the top ten school systems in North Carolina with the lowest Drop-Out Rate and the highest Graduation Cohort Rate. We strive to give our students classes and opportunities that will enhance their chances of success after high school graduation. We have approximately 548 students in grades 9-12. We do not let our size limit the opportunities that we provide to our students. Our students are academically competitive with students from very large high schools. Last year, our seniors were awarded over 1.5 million dollars in scholarships. The mission of the Mount Airy City Schools is to deliver a superior curriculum that establishes a foundation of knowledge and empowers students to choose their future and experience success. We will provide a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that motivates and develops the confidence and persistence necessary for students to meet the challenges of education, work, and life. At Mount Airy High School we make this a reality.
