Class of 2024 - Senior Information
Please review these important reminders. There are less than two weeks until graduation!
- Please complete the Class of 2024 Senior Survey. This information will be used for graduation, so please include any scholarships that you have been offered if you would like them announced!
- Service of Celebration (Sunday, May 19th / 7pm / Auditorium)
- Wear your cap and gown!
- This is a special event for seniors and their families (no limit). It is optional.
- Your class has chosen 3 faculty members to speak at the event - Mr. Hayes, Mr. Hiatt, and Mrs. Howlett.
- Senior Sunset Cookout (May 23rd / 6:30pm / Football Field)
- We are excited to celebrate the “sun setting” on your high school career with a hotdog cookout next Thursday!
- Please use this Sign Up Sheet if you are able to pitch in!
- Graduation Practice (May 24th / 9am / Football Field)
- Ceiling Tile Painting Party (May 24th / 10am / Commons Area) Come to the Commons Area after graduation practice to paint your senior ceiling tile!
- GRADUATION (May 25th / 9am / Football Field)
- As long as the weather is nice and we are able to be outside on the football field, there is no limit to the number of guests you can have at graduation. Both sides of the bleachers will be open.

- If rain is in the forecast and we have to move the ceremony into the gym, there will be a limit on the number of guests you can have and we will issue tickets. We will make every effort to keep it outside.

- You may NOT decorate your cap for the MAHS ceremony. I have extras and will switch yours out if you show up with a decorated cap. If you would like to decorate your cap for photos, I recommend finding a cap to borrow for the ceremony (maybe a sibling's or a friend's), then you can put on your decorated cap for photos afterward.

TRANSCRIPTS
- MAHS Transcripts: There are 3 ways students can have high school transcripts sent to colleges and universities:
- Common App (automatic) - If you applied through Common App, add Mrs. Henson as your Counselor, and your school report/transcript gets sent automatically. (If you can see that your school report has been sent, then your transcript has been sent also.)
- CFNC (in-state / not automatic) - for any NC school that you applied to outside of Common App (CFNC, school website, etc.), use the link in the CFNC Application Hub to have your transcript sent. This is not automatic, you must use the REQUEST TRANSCRIPT button for each school.
- MAHS Website (out-of-state / not automatic) - For out-of-state schools not on the Common App, use THIS LINK to have your transcript sent.
- Surry Community College Transcripts: If colleges are asking for your Surry Community College transcript, you have two options:
- If they need an official transcript, you will need to
- log into your MyKnightLife portal
- Scroll all the way to the bottom right
- Select “Request an Official Transcript”
- In the top box, use the link that says “Order Your Transcript Online”
- Follow the instructions to send your transcript (there will be a charge)
- If they will accept an unofficial transcript, you can find that in the same place
- log into your MyKnightLife portal

- Select “Request an Official Transcript”
- In the bottom box, use the link that says “Request an Unofficial Transcript”
- Follow the instructions to see/download your transcript and then just take a screenshot (you can take a screenshot on your iPad automatically by using the camera button on the top center of your keypad)
- You can either upload it into your university portal if that option is available or email it to your assigned university admissions counselor.
